The Family Psychology Division of the American Psychological Assocation is awarding the Carolyn Attneave Diversity Award for 2008 to Paulette Moore Hines, Founding member of MFI and a Director of the CCTC. This award is given "to acknowledge special contributions to the promotion of diversity in family psychology or special contributions to the lives of diverse families." According to the colleagues who nominated her for this award, her contributions in these areas have been distinguished and outstanding for many years and in a wide variety of contexts and have helped move the field forward in becoming more culturally competent and responsive to the wide variety of individuals and families that we serve in our clinical work, in our teaching, and in our research. The award will be presented at the Division 43 Presidential Reception at the APA convention in Boston, scheduled for Friday, August 15. Congratulations! Well deserved! |
